Suggested Behavior Guidelines

1. rParents and children who come to activities would like to lean and grow in an atmosphere where that is possible without hindrance. Parents and leaders have a responsibility to maintain that atmosphere. Children who make learning or participation impossible for those around them need to be removed and be instructed to spend the remainder of their time with their parent.

2. Children who choose to participate in activities with the homeschool group must agree to follow the instructions of parents and other leaders. Obeying those instructions and exhibiting respect toward parents and other leaders is a condition for remaining at an activity.

3. At no time will the following activities be appropriate: use of bad language, possessing alcohol, drugs or tobacco products, leaving the group if not with your parent or other adult, inappropriate public display of affection, possessing a gun, knife or other dangerous weapon, or habitual disregard for the guidelines and habitual disrespect for parents or other leaders.

Suggested Dress Code

Dress code for activities should be appropriate for the occasion. In order to preserve an atmosphere of integrity and to insure an experience free of distractions, the following are guidelines which are encouraged for all events.

1. Shorts should be mid-thigh in length.

2. Dresses and skirts should be no shorter than just above the knee. A guideline is to place a dollar bill at the top of the knee cap; the hem should touch the top of the dollar.

3. No spaghetti straps and shoulder straps should be at least 3 fingers wide. Shirts should be long enough to cover the midriff (front and back) even when hands are raised.

4. Only one-piece, modest swimsuits are acceptable. Tankinis and one-piece suits which have an exposed midriff are not appropriate.

5. T-Shirts should not display inappropriate wording or graphics.
