REGISTRATION - In the state of Tennessee, there are two options to register for home schooling your children. One is through your local school
superintendent's office. Every home school family also has the option to enroll with a church-related school. Tennessee home educators can be very thankful for these organizations which provide us with this legal
option. If you are enrolled with one of these schools, please do your utmost to fulfill your responsibilities to them. Do your homework and check the law for yourself at: www.tnhea.org
Although not an exhaustive list, the two church-related schools listed below are equally reputable and accept students state-wide.

The Tennessee Home Education Association was formed for the purpose of preserving and defending the rights of parents to direct the education of their children and to provide a
state-wide network, encouragement, and assistance to home schooling families. THEA maintains careful scrutiny over the Tennessee legislative and judicial arenas, drafts and proposes home education legislation,
coordinates lobbying efforts, and hosts an annual legislative reception (Rally Day) with displays from all over the state. THEA accomplishes these goals by means of a unified, organized network of volunteers and is
supported by annual membership dues. To join THEA, send your name, address and $10 to the above ESPRIT address.
