All BCHE leaders and Co-op teachers are required to sign the following Statement of Faith. 

And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart.

You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house,

and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. -Deuteronomy 6:6-7

BCHE STATEMENT OF FAITH

The Bible is the inspired and infallible God-breathed Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

God has existed from all eternity in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14). Jesus Christ, born of a virgin (Isaiah 7:14; Luke 1:34-35), was God who came in human flesh being fully God and fully man except without sin (John 1:14; 1 Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 2:14-17.) Man is by nature sinful and is inherently in need of salvation (Psalm 51:5; Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23; Romans 10:9-13).

Christ bore our sins in His body on the cross so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. (2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Peter 2:24; 1 Peter 3:18; Isaiah 53:5; 1 John 2:2 ). He rose bodily from the dead (Matthew 28:1-20; Mark 16:1-20; Luke 24:1-53; John 20:1–21:25) .

Salvation is offered as a gift, free to the sinner. This gift must be responded to in faith, trusting in the sacrificial death and resurrection of Jesus Christ alone (Ephesians 2:8-9; Galations 3:21; II Timothy 1:9).

Children are a heritage from the Lord entrusted to parents to train up in righteousness for His glory (Psalm 127:3-5).

“We are strongly committed to the preservation and defense of unborn human life, which compels our religious, moral, and ethical duty to defend unborn human life.” ( Psalm 139:13, 14 &16)

“We believe that God created mankind in His image: male and female, sexually different but with equal personal dignity. We believe individuals should affirm their biological sex and refrain from any attempts to physically change, alter or disagree with their biological sex.” (Genesis 1:26-28, Romans 1:26-32, 1 Corinthians 6:9-11)

“We believe God has ordained and created marriage to exist between one man and one woman, with absolute marital fidelity. Consequently, we believe that individuals should refrain from any sexual conduct or acts outside of this marital relationship.” (Genesis 1:27, 2:24, Matthew 19:406, Mark 10:5-9, Romans 1:26-27, 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, Ephesians 5:25-27, Revelation 19:7-9)
